Eligibility Criteria 2026
Academic Qualification
- 12th Pass: From any recognized board (CBSE, State Boards, Madrasa Board etc.)
- Minimum Marks: 50% aggregate in qualifying examination
- Bridge Course: Students from AMU Bridge Course are also eligible
Important Note
Even though you take CUET, you must meet AMU’s 50% criteria in Class 12th examination.
For Science courses (B.Sc.), Science stream in Class 12th is mandatory with relevant subjects.
Admission Process Flow
It is a 2-Step Registration Process – Both steps are mandatory
Register for CUET UG on NTA official website (February-March 2026)
Select AMU and your desired courses
Register on AMU Portal (amucontrollerexams.com) separately
Usually starts after CUET exam (June-July 2026)

- B.Com (Hons)
- B.Sc. (Hons) – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Life Sciences
- B.A. (Hons) – History, Political Science, Economics, English Literature
Important Strategy
If you want to pursue History, Political Science, Economics, or English at AMU, you must give the AMU Entrance Test, not CUET.
CUET is only for the specific language courses and vocational programs listed above.
