Admission Mode – Merit vs Entrance
Mumbai University does NOT have a centralized university entrance exam for most regular undergraduate courses
📊 Merit Based (Class 12th)
Applicable Courses: B.A., B.Com, B.Sc, B.Com (Honours), B.A. (Honours) and most general undergraduate programs
Admission Process: Based purely on Class 12th Board Marks. No CUET or any central entrance required for most affiliated colleges

📝 Entrance Based Courses
Engineering: MHT-CET or JEE Main scores required
Law (3 Year/5 Year): MHCET Law examination mandatory

Minority Reservation System (Unique to Mumbai)

- Generate PNR Number: This unique number is mandatory for all college applications
- Select preferred colleges and courses online (e.g., Mithibai College – B.Com)
- Take printout of the University Registration Form for EACH college separately

Eligibility Criteria for Mumbai University
General Course Requirements
- Class 12th Pass: From any recognized board (Maharashtra HSC, CBSE, ISC, or equivalent)
